Charge your iPhone or iPod from your car’s 12-volt power outlet. Or connect a USB cable (sold separately) to charge your other USB powered devices.

2 Stars Charges iPhone, but gives audio feedback
This unit is attractive and does charge the iPhone. However, on my 2007 Toyota Yaris and on my mother in law’s 2008 Toyota Sienna, the iPhone emits a high feedback sound when connected to the charger and the auxillary input. I’m not sure if this is Toyota’s fault or Kensington’s.
It basically means I can’t charge and listen to music at the same time.
1 Star Don’t buy
Don’t buy this product. It is extremely poor quality. Between overheating and shutting down, and the fact that you to jiggle it to make it work at all, it is simply a crap product that I would not recommend to anyone.
4 Stars Works very well
This product works as advertised. I had purchased another iPhone charger that turned out not to be 3G compatible or even iPhone compatible later. This worked right out of the box and is very well made. It will also charge anything that takes a chrage from USB since you can simply change the cble to match your device. I highly recommend this over some of the cheaper alternatives.
5 Stars iPhone / USB Charger
This seems to be well made and does a decent job of charging the iPhone. Although it may not be clear in the description, this charger comes with a detachable cable that can plug in both the USB port on your computer and the car charger which is very handy… imagine you have been playing Bejeweled a bit too long at your desk at work and need a quick charge ;).
1 Star Garbage
WARNING!!!!WARNING!!! Do not buy this product. Very misleading. I bought 2 for my IPHONE 3G. They do not work. They did not even work with my regular IPOD. I returned it. Do not waste your $$. The only thing that I was happy with was Amazon’s return policy. I was able to return them with no problems.

4 Stars Works great !
I like others have found that the iPhone’s battery doesn’t last that long when you are on the 3G network. I looked at several battery extenders and decided on this one because of the size. It is much smaller than the Richard Solo and seemed like it would be a good deal for the money.
The pros: I have been very pleased with the results as I am able to go all day on the Kensington. By the time I get off of work, it is usually on the last battery indicator. That is with moderate use. With heavy use, it will fully deplete by that time. That is all I was wanting from the device. That way, by the afternoon, I still have a full charge on my iPhone’s internal battery. In my typical day, I am able to set the iPhone down, near me, and not have to put it in my pocket all day.
Now the cons: If you are someone who is very mobile and has to put your iPhone in your pocket and is always taking it out, putting it back in……..etc. it might not be a good battery extender for you because it is just hanging there off of the bottom of your iPhone. There have been times I have knocked it off while putting it in my pocket or taking it out. I have found also that if you use a case on your iPhone, there are times when certain cases will make it to where the Kensington can’t plug in all the way. It will work, and will charge, but it is not engaged all the way to where the bumps are inserted, thus making it very easy for it to just fall off. If you are a mobile person, I would suggest something like the Mophie or other brands of battery extenders that are also “cases” at the same time. That way you don’t have something hanging off the end of the iPhone.
Overall…….this is a great device for adding battery life, and also extending the life of your iPhone’s internal battery. Since it uses the Kensington first, it lessens the amount of charge cycles your iPhone’s internal has to do, thus prolonging it’s life.
1 Star Breaks easily
My Kensington battery had the following problems a)was unable to charge after just 2 months b)only intermittedly charged the iphone from day one.
Iphone complains that it is not “approved” even though I bought it at the apple store.
4 Stars Works as advertised
It does what it’s advertised to do, not much more to say. The blue LED light is really bright though, and can be distracting.
5 Stars Kensington Mini Battery/Charger
Works better than I thought it would. When my iPhone battery gets down to 18-20% it brings it up to 89% in a little over an hour. The iPhone can be used immediately with the battery unit attached if needed. A great backup when you need it away from a normal battery recharge. There are light indicators to tell you when the unit is fully charged and needs recharge. I had the unit in the car for a couple of weeks out in the 20 degree cold and the charger did not lose any of it’s charge.
3 Stars Handy but not a long charge
This little battery is very handy and easy to carry with my iPhone. But it runs out of power really fast. I’m not sure it really adds much use time to my phone. It seems faster to just recharge the phone itself.
