This purchase was the smart thing to do. With two kids and their Ipods there will be times when a car charger is a must. The only thing I would change is the length of the cord on the charger - maybe a little longer.

2 Stars Charges, but gives audio feedback
This charger works fine to charge my iPhone 3g, but I’ve noticed when I plug it into the stereo in my Camry Hybrid it generates a buzzing noise.
2 Stars Not the best
I purchased as a necessity for my iPhone 3g. As others have noted, the cable is too short to be practical. Also the connector does not properly lock into the iPhone - many times it has been “plugged in” for hours, but not charging. I would recommend looking for something else to serve this basic function.

5 Stars Works as expected with iPhone 3G and iPod 80GB
This charger works perfectly with my iPhone and iPod. The cord is a bit short so it forces me to use a headset with my phone if I want to talk and drive but this is a good thing.
