5 Stars at only $4 a pop, this is awesome
I love taking pics wherever I go. So I fill up my memory card quick. I have 3 devices with 3 different types of memory cards. And this handy device is good for them all.

This baby is crazy easy to use and enables me to transfer my camera’s pics quickly to my laptop so that I can take more pics.

and really, it’s only $4 including shipping, how much cheaper can you really go?! it’s tiny, it’s light, I just toss it into my backpack and I’m set.

5 Stars Why buy anything else?
If you need to use a memory card for your camera greater than 4GB (i.e. 8GB or 16GB), then you will be using the newer “SD-HC (high capacity)” cards that cannot be read by a computer with a standard SD card slot.

I don’t know if you might have trouble in Windows Vista (I use only XP and it works just fine) - so you may want to check on that if you’re a Vista user.

This gadget will allow you to read your high capacity SD cards just fine. Works great - just plug the reader into your USB slot, slide your 8GB memory card into the reader, and it’s instantly ready for transfer of your pictures. VERY FAST at transfer, I might add. Much faster than the standard SD card reader on my Dell laptop.

So it works flawlessly, and costs $1.50 - why would you want to buy anything else?

1 Star Will not read Kingston SDHC
Very dissatisfied…false advertising. Product does not work to read Kingston SDHC 4 GB card and I don’t even have Vista…we have Windows XP. The case is too wide to even plug into the drive on my computer…hits the frame of my tower. Do not waste your money.

5 Stars Best Money I Have Spent This Year
Pulling photos off of 4G and 8G cards has been a pain. And videos were pretty much impossible. The reader on my printer does not like SDHC, and pulling them through a cable is hit and miss, and requires a program. I went a store near me, and they had one reader for SDHC and they wanted $30.

I run Linux Ubuntu and this cheap little reader rocks. Saturday night, hours after getting the reader, I pulled photos off a 8G, 4G and 2G card in less than 1/2 an hour. Generally that is hours of work. Fast and Functional and Super Cheap!

5 Stars Perfect
Cost next to nothing and worked as it should have right out of the box. What else could you want?

User Ratings and Reviews

4 Stars Excellent mp3/video player!
I purchased this device after having lots of problems with Sansa products (Clip and Fuze). Sony Walkman reviews were consistently high, so I gave it a try. I have been very impressed.

Music quality using a $10 pair of SkullCandy Ink’d is outstanding. Very crisp and clean, even at 128 kbps.

Video playback is also very good. Display is sharp; no stuttering during playback. I have been successful using the free SUPER encoder set at VIDEO mp4;H.264/AVC;320:240;384kbps and AUDIO 44.1K;96kbps. For DVDs,use free DVD Decrypter or Smartripper and deselect all audio language streams except English). Smartripper allows you to rip to one big file, instead of ending up with 4 or 5 smaller vob files on your player. One little glitch - after encoding, I have an audio/video sync issue with downloaded zipped mp4 files from one source [...], but I can correct it during playback by forwarding a few frames, then reversing. After that, it’s ok. DVDs encrypted using SUPER do not have that issue. I suspect it’s how SUPER (and Any Video Converter) handles that sort of file, but just a guess.

FM radio reception is good in the area I live in (DFW).

Battery life seems to be strong, but I haven’t put any time into tracking it. Somewhere I read that mp3 playback is 40+ hrs, radio 20+, and video 7+. With audio and video, lower bitrates extend battery life (at the cost of quality). Equalizer will also cost you a little more battery. I can go several days between charges (my kids can only get a few hours from their ipod battery before it needs a charge).

Complaints: computer dependency and earbud quality. You must be connected to a computer to add/delete files, to manage playlists, and to charge the battery (unless you spring for an optional AC charger). You’re SOL if you lose the USB cable. Earbuds are poor quality.

Overall, a very functional and high quality device. I found mine on Amazon for $69 w/free shipping, which made it even sweeter.

3 Stars Limited audio and video formatsThe
The Positive: Sleek and stylish design, very good sound quality, controls well designed and easy to use, crisp and clear screen, great battery life, easy to drag and drop MP3 files into folder on PC for loading onto Walkman, nice small size.

The Negative: Supports a very limited range of audio and video formats. If your digital camera produces AVI or WMV video clips, the Sony won’t play them. If you download a MV4 video from iTunes, the Sony won’t play it. And trying to conver these formats to something that the Sony will play is a real hassle.

Bottom Line: If you just want a good MP3 player, this is a great little product. If you were hoping to play a variety of audio and video formats, choose another player.

5 Stars Sony 8GB Walkman Video MP3 Player
FANTASTIC. This was a gift for my husband who wanted a music and video player but did not have to deal with the whole proprietary thing of iTunes. We are THRILLED with this device. Solidly built, compact, multi-functional - it is hands down the best MP3 player out there. And the price is good too. Now I wish that I did not have an iPod so that I could have an excuse to get one of these. And you CAN change your music from iTunes MP4 format (on iTunes) to MP3 very easily (in iTunes for free) to be compatible with this device.

If you are comparing MP3 players, even iPods, consider this WAY above the rest.

1 Star JUNK
Item easy to use, nice and compact. I purchased this because I thought it was compatible with my Sony Stereo system with MP3 docking station…Nope not even an accessory item. SONY made everything compatible with IPOD so scrap that idea. Earphones very uncomfortable so I bought a new pair of ear buds that were better and a new skin with screen shield to protect unit. Also along with this purchase I had bought a traveling charger kit. Guess I won’t need any of this stuff because after using this SONY WALKMAN for a month it no longer works. It is a complete waste of money, maybe it is where I purchased it from, I don’t know? I am a committed customer to Sony products and this just leaves me pretty sour! I will now buy an IPOD. Live and learn and spend money on JUNK!!!

4 Stars Easy to use - not compatible
I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He really likes the way it sounds and it is easy to use (he didn’t like the controls on the I-pod). The only complaint he has is that he has “Sync” in his vehicle and the Sony is not compatible.

March 31, 2009 by DigiBliss · Leave a Comment

The ToughSkin ruggedized iPod cover provides rugged protection and fashion for your 80 or 160GB iPod classic. Its one-of-a-kind design customizes the popular rubberized skin for extreme lifestyles. Includes ToughSkin, belt clip and screen protector.

User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Love it
What more can I say. It makes my iPod look like a piece of military equiment or something. Much thicker at corners and sides than other covers I have seen. I did take the belt clip off of mine.

5 Stars Don’t know what could work better
Protects my Ipod and leaves all ports open for easy connecting disconnecting. Dropped my Ipod a few times and it took it like a champ. Haven’t tried any other protective cover and it works great so id say buy it.

5 Stars Protection
If you can spend the money on an Ipod then spend the few extra bucks to protect it. This case is awesome. It will keep your Ipod like brand new.

5 Stars ipod cover
What I wanted. Soft rubber material to protect the ipod from falls, bumps. The material is also non-skid, so won’t slide off of the table. Has a see through plastic cover to cover the screen. Probably more appealing to a male (not pretty, but very durable).

3 Stars be warned
Just a thing to consider…I am experiencing icy conditions in Ohio right now, and I have a similar flexible protective skin with belt clip for my old 30gb ipod. Except I don’t wear it on my belt, I keep it in my back pocket mostly…just used the skin to protect it from getting banged around or scratched up.

I’m figuring that like my case, this case has a round knob or button on the back for the belt clip to attach to.

This morning I slipped and fell on the ice, the knob on the back of the case dented in the back of my ipod and my ipod is now dead.

Something to consider, if you are looking for a protective case, and don’t really plan to use the belt clip. If you aren’t going to use the clip, don’t get a protective case with a clip.

I’ll probably replace my old 30gb with the new 120gb that costs less than my old one did originally…but the old one was working great, now it’s trashed.

User Ratings and Reviews

2 Stars looks better than it is
the canon soft case looks better than it is. It fits the camera like a glove and has a small zippered area for batteries, however once you put the batteries in, it becomes to tight a fit for the camera. Not worth the [...] bucks, maybe [...].

4 Stars Sturdy case for my new Canon Powershot
The case is sturdy and compact. It fits nicely into my purse or backpack. The only improvement I’d made is to give it a space for storing its USB cable.

3 Stars not so deluxe soft case
I think the title says it. It’s a nice storage case to keep your camera at the house, but it’s not good to travel around with. It has no carry strap (it has a belt loop strap) and no room left over to store extra batteries - It was recommended for the Cannon A1000. To top it off, it’s not what I would call soft. It is soft compared to wood, metal or molded plastic…

4 Stars Canon bag - fit A590is.
Big saving and at least 30% discount compare to BestBuy, Frys.

Great bag for Canon A590is - fit perfect.

One of the best deal in Amazon.

5 Stars It does work very well
It does look good, the size is correct and protect very well my camera Canon a1000is
